Purple ribbons will commemorate the deaths of loved ones by suicide

Families who have lost a loved one to suicide are to be given the chance of placing a poignant purple ribbon of remembrance on a special tree.

Support group Survivors Of Bereavement By Suicide (SOBS)is holding a service of dedication tomorrow, at 4pm, outside the main entrance to Renfrewshire Council’s HQ in Cotton Street, Paisley.

This will be led by Provost Celia Lawson and will be attended by representatives from St Mirin’s Cathedral and Paisley Abbey.
